Replacements of Hotbird satellites announced

According to the deployment planning, Eutelsat will replace two Hotbird satellite this yearAs a result of this two satellite renewals was announced during 2nd & 3rd quarter of 2002. Hotbird 5 will be replaced by Hotbird 6 end of 2nd quarter. Hotbird 3 will be replaced by Hotbird 7 by end of 3rd quarter. Commercialisation will start a few weeks later.
