Thrane & Thrane recieves approval of EXPLORER™ 300 and EXPLORER™ 527
Thrane & Thrane has received Inmarsat’s approval of its newest land mobile BGAN terminals, the EXPLORER™ 300 and the EXPLORER™ 527. As a result of the approval, Thrane & Thrane has started shipments of the first terminals to the company’s distributors.
The EXPLORER™ 300 is Thrane & Thrane’s smallest and most compact terminal in the BGAN product family. With data speed of up to 385 kbps, the terminal targets individual users.
The EXPLORER™ 527 is Thrane & Thrane’s first land mobile BGAN terminal for vehicular use. With data speed of up to 464 kbps and guaranteed performance of up to 128 kbps the terminal mainly targets US government customers.
With the introduction of the EXPLORER™ 300 and the EXPLORER™ 527 Thrane & Thrane completes its family of BGAN products while also consolidating the company’s position as the world’s leading provider of mobile high-speed terminals via satellite.
